CAIP Canada has launched the process to welcome designated members of the former Canadian marketing research association. Individuals holding the former Canadian marketing research designation are encouraged to register on the CAIP Canada website to receive the Certified Analytics and Insights Professional (CAIP) designation.
“We are pleased to recognize individuals who worked hard to earn the designation of the former Canadian marketing research association,” says Robert Wong, CAIP Canada Chair and Owner and Principal, RMCG Inc. “With the support of the leaders on our founding board and the endorsement of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) and ESOMAR, the CAIP designation will offer immediate value to professionals working in research, analytics and insights.”
CAIP Canada is supporting CRIC in formalizing standards and best practices for the Canadian research, analytics and insights profession. Applicants must agree to comply with the CRIC standards.
CAIP Canada will be waiving the fee for the remainder of 2019. The annual fee to maintain the designation starting in 2020 is expected to be $280.
CAIP Canada will also be reaching out to leaders in the profession who were recognized as Fellows by the former Canadian marketing research associations. CAIP Canada would like to continue to recognize their significant contributions to our profession. A process is also being developed to recognize Fellows in the future.
CAIP Canada is also developing a pathway for practitioners who wish to earn the CAIP designation. The new pathway will feature a modernized competency framework and will draw upon established training approaches including the Principles of Marketing Research program offered by the Marketing Research Institute International (MRII). It will also include a fair but rigorous Canadian examination. Individuals seeking to earn the CAIP are encouraged to subscribe to updates on the CAIP website.
