14 reasons to visit Toronto in addition to sharing your expertise at ESOMAR congress in September

From September 13 to 16, 2020, Toronto is going to be incredible! That’s because we’re expecting a few thousand of our best friends from around the world to join us for ESOMAR congress!

Submissions to speak at ESOMAR are due by January 31, 2020 so make sure to get yours in quickly. If sharing your unique insights with a thousand friends isn’t incentive enough, check out just a few of the fantastic things you can do while you’re in Toronto:

  1. From September 10 to 20, take in the Toronto Film Festival – We call it TIFF, one word. It sells out quickly so if you know you want to partake, you MUST plan ahead. Tickets for regular folks go on sale June 17 and September 7. You need to be at your computer with your credit ready.

  3. Commune with dinosaurs at the Royal Ontario Museum – we call it the ROM, one word.
  4. Take in stunning artwork at the Art Gallery of Ontario – we call it the A G O, three separately named letters.
  5. Walk on the indoor glass floor at the CN Tower, 342 meters or 1122 feet or 112 stories high. We’re told it can hold an elephant but we haven’t seen that proof.

  7. Risk death by leaning OFF the CN Tower on the EdgeWalk, 342 meters or 1122 feed or 112 stories above very hard, very unforgiving concrete!
  8. Visit Casa Loma and see where films were made including X-Men, Strange Brew, The Tuxedo, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, and Titans.

  10. If you’re a shoe fan, the Bata Shoe Museum has the world’s largest collection of shoes from nearly every culture and continent, including shoes from Elton John, Queen Victoria, and Elvis Presley!
  11. Take in a show, play, musical, opera, ballet, or symphony. We’ve got it all!
  12. Visit the beaches at our islands! It might a little cool around 23⁰C but it’s not too late so bring a swimsuit and towel.

  14. Visit the Hockey Hall of Fame and check out the Stanley Cup.
  15. Visit the Distillery District which is North America’s largest collection of Victorian industrial architecture. Check out the art galleries, cool coffeehouses, and gifty shopping.
  16. Shop till you drop at more than 250 stores at the Eaton Center.

  18. Ogle at fishies, octopus, turtles, sharks, stingray, and jellies at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada.
  19. Get lost in the PATH, our underground network of tunnels that connects 1200 stores, 50 office towers, 5 subway stations, and the train station, perfect if it’s raining.
